  • Canada Day

    Saturday, July 1st

    Canada Day Happy Canada Day! Join Storybook Gardens as we celebrate Canada's 150th birthday on July 1st! To celebrate Gordie the Beaver will be hosting Canada games in the park all day along with his mascot and Storybook puppet friends! You don't want to miss Peter Mennie's AbraCANADAbra magic show at 11:30am and be sure to join the music and dance party with Mr. Chris and the Gassy Bubbles at 1pm, 2pm and 3pm on the Storybook Stage. Enjoy a yummy Canadian treat at the park including delicious maple candies, Canadian ice berg slushies or a classic cinnamon sugar Beavertail pastry!

  • Recruiting Storybook Village Volunteers

    Recruiting Storybook Village Volunteers Are you a student looking to complete your volunteer hours? Do you enjoy Halloween and working with children? If so, this is a great opportunity for you! We are seeking volunteers for a fun and rewarding volunteer opportunity at Storybook Gardens. Our volunteers help create magical and spooky experiences in the park during our annual event Storyspook Village. The event runs nightly from October 21-30th from 6-9pm. Volunteers require a police records check ($15.00), must attend mandatory training and be available to volunteer for 3 or more evenings.   • Storyspook Village

    Saturday, October 21st- Monday, October 30th

    Storyspook Village Haunted Halloween Fun for Young Children and Families. Open admission from 6:00-9:00 p.m. $15.00 per child(Adults are free when accompanied by paid child admission). Get your costumes and flashlights ready and join us for a night of spook (but not too spooky!) fun at the park! The event includes trick or treating, meet and greets with costumed characters and amusement rides at night. Bring your flashlight and treat bag and dress for the weather.

FAQs

Where can I park when visiting Storybook Gardens?

There is ample free parking in front of Storybook Gardens. It is always safest to secure valuables out of sight or in your trunk. The parking area is well lit in the evening.

How long will a visit to Storybook Gardens take?

When visiting the park during the summer, most visitors spend between three and five hours inside Storybook Gardens. During the winter season, the average length of stay can vary depending on weather conditions.

Do you accept anything other than cash?

We accept cash, debit, or credit card (Visa, Mastercard or Amex) in the castle when paying admissions or for season’s passes, in the concession area and in the Treasure Chest gift shop.

Where can I find first aid?

Storybook Gardens staff are certified in first aid and CPR. If you require first aid, please find your nearest staff member, or visit the castle.

What if I lose track of my child?

The safety and security of children is of paramount importance for us. If you cannot locate your child, please speak with the nearest Storybook Gardens staff member who will assist you, and will send for additional staff if required.

Is the park accessible?

Storybook Gardens is quite flat and level, with paved pathways running throughout much of the park that are suitable for strollers or wheelchairs. Please note that some of the older buildings and play facilities are not fully accessible.

Accessible washrooms are located in the castle at the front of the park.

Do you rent strollers or wagons?

In the summer season, we have a number of sturdy wagons available for rent, on a first-come, first-served basis. The wagons are available in the castle, when you pay your admission to enter the park. The cost to rent a wagon is $6.00. We will ask for a credit card number at the time of rental. If the wagon is not returned at the end of your visit, the card provided will by charged the replacement cost of the wagon plus an administrative fee. Wagons are available as of the May long weekend.

Can we bring our own food?

During the spring and summer season our concession locations offer a variety of hot food items, snacks and beverages. Visitors are also permitted to bring in their own food packed from home. Purchased food from outside restaurants or food-service providers is not permitted inside Storybook Gardens. Admission to Storybook Gardens includes in and out privileges.

What’s the deal with bottled water?

To reduce the amount of plastic going into recycling, bottled water is no longer being sold at any facility run by the City of London. There are water fountains complete with water bottle filling attachments available in the front, middle and back of the park. We recommend that you bring your own water supply with you in a refillable container. A variety of other drinks, including soft drinks, juices and flavoured water, are available for purchase at the various concessions locations.

Are there facilities for babies?

There are change tables located in the washrooms, as well as a Baby Change building located in the middle of the park for those wishing a quiet place to change a bay or to nurse. The Baby Change building is located in the middle of the park next to the Villagae Square Stage.

I’ve forgotten something... can I purchase a replacement on site?

Our Treasure Chest gift shop stocks a number of convenience items, such as kleenex, sunscreen, towels, and batteries.

If I leave the park, can I come back in?

Same day re-entry privileges are included with admission. Upon entry we provide a hand stamp for each guest. When you leave then re-enter the park, show this hand stamp to the admissions staff as proof of re-entry. Guests without a hand stamp will not be re-admitted.

How will we know what’s going on in the park?

When you arrive in the castle, you’ll receive a copy of the daily program schedule, which will give the concession hours, amusement ride hours and program schedule of entertainment and activities.

Can we bring a pet in to the park?

Dogs and other pets are not permitted inside Storybook Gardens at any time due to the presence of our farm animals. Service animals are permitted inside Storybook Gardens. The visitor is responsible for the behaviour and cleanup for the animal at all times.

Smoking

Storybook Gardens is a smoke free facility. Visitors wishing to smoke are asked to exit the park in order to smoke. Please have your hand stamped at the gate for same day re-entry to the park.

Concessions available at the park

Storybook Gardens hosts an on-site food service that serves up a variety of meals, snacks and treats to meet all your cravings.

Three concession areas are located at the park:

  • Pete's Treats (summer only) - located in Pirate's Island – Serving cool drinks, ice cream bars and plenty of sweet treats.
  • The Village Square Diner (May-October) - serving hamburgers, hot dogs, French fries, Hot and cold drinks, soft serve ice cream, and more.
  • Jack Frost's (summer only) - Serving Ice Cream treats (Ice Cream Cones, Dipped Cones, Razzles etc.) Located in the Diner building.
  • Beavertails (year-round) - Serving fresh hot Beavertails pastries, french fries, poutine, Beaverdogs, hot chocolate, coffee, and Frapp-eh smoothies.

Please note for your convenience the concession accepts: debit, Visa, Mastercard and Amex. There is also an ATM located inside the castle during the summer season.

No Scents Makes Good Sense!

Scented and aerosol products can aggravate existing health problems for people who suffer from asthma, allergies and many other medical conditions. Consider using non-scented alternatives, lotions and gels.
